There are many daily departures by ferry or air for those who want to get here (and back, of course!). From Stockholm-Arlanda there are many daily connections to international airlines. There are also flights all the year round to Stockholm-Bromma. In the summer you can reach Gotland by plane from Stockholm, Göteborg, Ängelholm, Sundsvall, Ronneby, Norrköping, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Oslo and Hamburg as well.
Daily ferry services to Gotland go from Nynäshamn, south of Stockholm, and from Oskarshamn on the east coast of Sweden. From the ports in southern Sweden and the bridge over the sound in Malmö it takes 5-6 hours by car to get to Oskarshamn. The high-speed ferry brings you from the Swedish mainland to Visby in 3 hours.
This summer, there are ferries not only from Nynäshamn and Oskarshamn, but also from Grankullavik, on the island of Öland. In fact, to get to and from Gotland you can choose between up to twenty ferry departures per day.
